Cate Reid Ceremonies

I’m Cate—celebrant, community enthusiast and I am here to guide you through life’s most meaningful moments with warmth and authenticity. Whether you’re pledging your love, saying goodbye or welcoming a new arrival, I specialise in “hatch, match, and despatch” ceremonies that centre your story, values, and style.

Based in Kingsbarns, Fife and shaped by my childhood in the West Coast of Scotland, I love bringing a compassionate touch to weddings and funerals.

Alongside crafting ceremonies, I offer funeral and wedding training courses for aspiring celebrants. My approach is rooted in experiential learning and ongoing support. My training combines heart-led creativity with practical expertise—so you can step confidently into delivering heartfelt, unforgettable ceremonies of your own.

A little about me

I’m pretty hands-on when it comes to the lead-up to your ceremony. You’ll often catch me running around, making sure everything’s running smoothly before things kick off. And yes, you might spot me in my colourful baffies (slippers)—don’t worry, I’ll always have my shoes ready to go before the ceremony begins! It’s all part of the fun.

I’m a proud mum of three grown-up kids—Jolene, Bryden, and Keeven—who are all living their independent lives. And I’m a doting Granny to two grandsons, Travis and Reggie, who are just perfect (not that I’m biased, of course!).

I’m based in the peaceful, picturesque Kingsbarns, Fife—it’s a pretty incredible place to live—but my roots are firmly in the West Coast. I make regular trips back to see family and friends, keeping me grounded and connected to where I’m from.
