Wedding Ceremony Terms and Conditions 

Non religious, semi religions and religious ceremonies

Non religious, semi religions and religious celebrations are warmly welcomed here – at the Open Sanctuary, we embrace and respect all beliefs with an open heart that fosters simplicity, peace, and love. I am committed to working with integrity, love, and acceptance, crafting a personalised ceremony that mirrors your unique wishes, values, and beliefs.

Cost

I provide wedding ceremonies tailored to your preferences, whether non-religious, semi-religious, or religious. I handle the planning, creation, writing, and officiating of your personalised ceremony for the following fee:

2024 ceremonies – £550.00.

2025 ceremonies – £575.00 .

2026 ceremonies – £600.00.

Please note that additional mileage charges may apply for locations beyond Glasgow or Fife, ensuring I can bring your personalised ceremony to any corner of Scotland or beyond.

Booking infomation:

  • Confirm that you’re cool with the details.
  • Secure your date with a £200.00 booking fee.
  • You’ve got a 14-day ‘cooling off’ period.
  • Need to cancel? Just email to…. info@catereid.co.uk.

Rehearsals 

  • Let’s set a date for a rehearsal within 14 days of booking.
  • Extra charge: £100.00 + travel (Except Falside Mill, Kingsbarns, Fife)
  • I will l make it worth your while!

Cancelation

If, due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness or unavoidable situations, I am unable to officiate your ceremony, I will make every effort to arrange for a replacement celebrant and ensure that all necessary ceremony details are seamlessly shared.

Changes to the booking

Keep in mind that I am involved in various ceremonies, and any alterations to the booking may clash with my schedule. Feel free to drop me an email with any changes at your earliest convenience. While I’ll do my best to accommodate adjustments, I can’t guarantee availability, as I may have other bookings.

Marriage Law in Scotland

For marriage ceremonies to be recognised by law in Scotland, you must also fulfil the legal requirements (M10 forms) at a Registry Office at least three months prior to the date of your ceremony but no later than 29 days. please follow National Record Scotland guidance when registering the Marriage. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this.

I am authorised to solemnise legal marriages through the auspices of Open Sanctuary, holding the official authorisation from the Registrar General for Scotland to conduct legal weddings in Scotland.

Your ceremony script is crafted with care and creativity and I kindly ask that you refrain from sharing or reproducing it without permission.

Mum’s the Word

Your secrets are safe with me. I won’t spill the beans without your permission (Data Protection Regulations Act 2018).  

Insurance and Professional Affiliation

  • I am a proud member of Scottish Independent Celebrants Association (SICA).
  • Insured up to £1,000,000 for anything that might go awry.
